Service Description
During this four week class you will learn foundational elements of musical theatre dance with a partner. This class is for confident movers of all gender identities and body sizes. Adaptive teaching is our standard of practice. In this class, we will focus on on-the-floor movements, supported body shifting, and one stationary lift. Week 1: Establishing personal boundaries. Ballroom steps (including Waltz, Cha Cha, & Swing), spins/twirls, promenades. Week 2: Review elements from week 1, adding supported body shifting. Show & share at the end of class. Week 3: Review everything from week 1 & 2, exercises to prepare for stationary lifts, learn choreography. Show & share at the end of class. Week 4: Key elements from the first three weeks. Review choreography. Perform for one another in an in class showcase.
Cancellation Policy
Refund & Reschedule Policy Due to the nature of group instruction, rescheduling is not possible. The company offers no refunds for any reason. If, in the event a client must cancel their enrollment, payment will not be refunded. Liability Release & Indemnification Agreement In consideration of being allowed to participate in programs, classes, rehearsals, and events (the “Activities”) at The CarpenBarry Company LLC (“CarpenBarry”), I hereby waive, release and discharge, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, assigns, and the below-named minor, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any and all rights, claims, or causes of action against the Company, its staff, members, managers, agents, representatives, volunteers, affiliates, sponsors, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Company”), for any and all injuries, losses, or other damages to myself or the below-named minor, arising out of or in any way related to the Activities, including injuries, losses, or damages caused by the negligent acts of the Company. I acknowledge that the Activities involve inherent risks and dangers and involve potentially hazardous activity with known, unanticipated, and inherent risks of danger or injury, including, but not limited to, physical injury, including sprains, strains, tears, fractures, contusions, lacerations, concussions, or even death (collectively referred to as “Risks”). I understand that such Risks cannot be completely eliminated without compromising the essential value, enjoyment, and benefits from the unique experiences and value that the Company provides through the Activities. I acknowledge that the registrant is able to participate in the Activities and has no undisclosed health or other problems that would put them at risk by participating in such Activities. I understand that participation in the Activities is voluntary and the Company does not provide medical insurance covering any injuries incurred during the Activities or while using Company facilities.
